我們既因信稱義，
就藉著我們的主耶穌基督，得與神相和⋯
不但如此，就是在患難中，也是歡歡喜喜的。
因為知道患難生忍耐、忍耐生老練、
老練生盼望、盼望不至於羞恥。
Therefore, since we have been made right
in God’s sight by faith,
we have peace with God because of
what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us...
We can rejoice, too,
when we run into problems and trials,
for we know that
they help us develop endurance.
And endurance develops strength of character,
and character strengthens
our confident hope of salvation. (NLT)
